Rather than list postings/replies in chronological order, I suggest you list in REVERSE chrono order so that latest feedback is first to be read. Older postings should be deleted after 1 year of inactivity.

Your suggestions are good. We are looking into providing an option of how the replies are listed (Chrono or reverse Chrono order). The feedback we have gotten from most of our users are that they like the replies posted in chronological order. That is the easiest way for most users to follow the thread of a discussion. Regarding older postings, it is up to the moderator of each topic to monitor their postings. We find that even with some postings being more than a year old, the information contained can still be of considerable value to the Forum Users.

To date, we have not been able to implement the change requested since we are dependent on an outside vendor for the software. We are awaiting their next version which will hopefully have the added feature.

| I am a new member and I would like to add that I agree with Stefani's suggestion from 7/10/2001. The most recent postings should be at the top and older postings deleted after a period of time. It's 2004--there are still 2001 postings listed. Personally, I scroll down to the bottom and work my way back as far as I want to go. Some of the postings ARE outdated, I think. |

We agree with the suggestion and continue to try to find a solution. As of Feb 2004, the developers of this forum's software still do not provide the requested feature. We have recently pursued having the coding custom done for this forum. We will keep the forum appraised of our progress

We finally found someone to assist us in the special software coding to make this addition happen. As of Feb 12, 2004, Forum users now have the ability to sort posts 3 ways. Look for a new drop down box just above the right corner of the table that shows all the posts. I want to thank our forum users for their patience in this manner.

| Admin: Have tried to email you via the forum_admin address listed in the EMAIL FUNCTIONS NOT WORKING post and it was undeliverable. Any progress in fixing the problems? My question has to do with the use of the forums by recruiters. My personal preference is to stay away from that if possible. |

In July, we migrated to another hosting company. This affected the email functioning of our site, including the function of users being able to email the administrator. This function was just fixed last week (July 30th) and should now be available.
Regarding Recruiters use of the forum - we prohibit the use of this forum for recruiting purposes. We concider this commercial use of the website and this is prohibited by our rules everyone must agree to inorder to register. The rules read:
THE FORUM IS NOT TO BE USED BY ANYONE FOR PURPOSES OF SOLICITING MEMBERS FOR JOB OPPORTUNITIES, FOR MARKETING PURPOSES, FOR ANY COMMERCIAL PURPOSES, OR ANY OTHER MANNER NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE NOT-FOR -PROFIT EDUCATIONAL INTENT OF THE FORUM.
We try to review all postings to insure compliance with this policy and remove any postings that violate our policy. This week, we removed one postings that was soliciting for a job opening. We notify the user of the violation and if the practice continues, we have terminated users permissions to use our forum.
Now that the forum's email function is again working, I would ask that any user that views a posting that they concider to be in violation of our policy, to please notify me immediately and I will look into it.
